Vintage Design
” Good design is as little design as possible “
The iconic 606 shelving system was designed by DIETER RAMS in 1960 and has been manufactured by VITSOE ever since.
* The modular system furniture is based on E-shaped aluminum profiles for vertical wall mounting. The shelves and boxes in two grid widths are simply hooked in and held in place with aluminum pins. This creates a wide range of possible combinations.
* The shelving system grows with your needs and can be flexibly rearranged again and again. The flexible attachment of the components allows easy assembly and conversion and thus simplifies relocation.
* The 606 system has won several awards and is part of the permanent collection of the Museum of Modern Art in New York City.
* It is of the highest aesthetic quality and durable.
* Versatile modular system.
* In order to clear up the chaos in which we live, the design of the 606 shelving system is also reduced to the essentials. It follows a few concise principles from Dieter Rams:
“Products should have no built-in expiration date, be discreet, adaptable and reliable – as well as minimize impact on the environment.”
+ The 606 shelving system we offer, this set includes: 5x. Carcasses – including one with an open compartment and a record stand – as well as a double shelf + 12x single shelves and 8x aluminum wall rails (including 5x long (171 cm) + 3x short).

CONDITION
The object is in good and well-kept vintage condition. On closer inspection, there are isolated, predominantly superficial traces of a vintage object: These are on the lacquer – on a corpus and shelf/shelf a little more or less – small to medium, as well as very few, larger surface scratches, bumps and nicks (these mostly angular) as well as lacquer abrasion and chipping in a few places. The object has been carefully cleaned by us.
…….All traces of use are only visible on closer inspection, without being serious in the overall picture and impairing the function….
+ The pictures are part of the condition description and show the general condition and the most important flaws. We therefore ask you to take a good look at the pictures above.
