Set of 4 chairs model CH24 in oak and Danish rope, designed by Hans Wegner in 1950 for Carl Hansen and those produced in 1973. This iconic model also known as the “Wishbone chair” has been recognized by many professionals as the perfect chair. This set, dated 1973 is in perfect condition with a very nice patina on the oak and good original rope. This simple, elegant and functional design has a shape that perfectly matches the sitting posture of the human body and the curved backrest is an important element. Hans Wegner, the great Danish designer of Scandinavian Modernist Design, placed great importance on the functionalism of his pieces and throughout his career and life sought to create the perfect chair. This quest for the perfect chair resulted in more than 500 chair designs, but more importantly the designer left behind a selection of equally timeless and comfortable models, of which the Wishbone chair is one.
