Bryan Atkinson (b. 1979) is a photographer and native of Kansas City, MO. His work attempts to present an alternative and honest view of the everyday world around us.
Atkinson grew up on Kansas City’s East Side, and spent his formative years between Independence, MO and Kansas City’s Northeast Side. Much of his work focuses on the parts of Kansas City he once called home.
He has been wandering the streets of Kansas City with a camera since the 1990s; seeking to capture moments that give the viewer a chance to engage the surroundings around them so often ignored.
