Vintage Design
Console table hand-made in Italy in the mid 1700s using walnut. The top is made of a single board with ogee edges and scalloped front corners. The back of the console is unfinished and meant to sit against a wall. On the front, the console table shows three inset drawers decorated on the fronts with molding and rectangular cherry inlay. The legs legs are lyre shape and hand-carved, just like the cross-stretcher.
This is an absolutely stunning console table that can also function as a writing desk (56cm knee clearance). Its curves and elegant lines make this a perfect table for a room that needs a decorative as well as practical piece. This piece would be lovely in an entryway with flowers and gorgeous Charles X Italian mirror over it, or in a cozy office with a beautiful light fixture resting on its gorgeous top.
