Vintage Design
Original Mangiarotti marble side table. This coffee table from the Eros series was designed by Angelo Mangiarotti for Skipper in Italy in 1971. It is made from solid black Marquina marble. In view of Mangiarotti’s research into furniture without joints, this side table is an example of the result of a gravity-locked design in which the side table top fits stably into the truncated cone-shaped base due to its weight.
