Pastel and crayon on paper interior scene by Eileen Gore Sellon. The painting is signed bottom left and attributed and dated to the backboard. Presented in gilt wood frame with mount under glass.
A charming view of a red chair in an interior, reminiscent of the similar subject works of David Hockney. Sellon has played with the perspective and positioning of the objects, chair, table, newspaper and on the side wall what appears to be a large canvas painting. The colour palette sings, the blue in the wall painting against the oxblood red of the chair and then more pastel shades for the other surfaces.
