Kevin Vivers has been a photographer for nearly 50 years—how quickly time passes. He considers himself incredibly fortunate to have had the time and freedom to pursue his passion and share his vision with others. For Vivers, Americana isn’t a nostalgic, idealized reflection of the “good old days.” Instead, he sees it as something that happens every day. The millions of people living in rural America aren’t reenacting scenes from a lifestyle magazine. Their lives are filled with county fairs, cattle auctions, diners, and hard work—just ordinary living. Nothing romanticized, just real life.
