A Blue Willow, oval vegetable bowl in a large serving size. For those of us who are blue-and-white or transferware aficionados, this bowl showcases the beauty of deep cobalt blue in an intricate chinoiserie design. The classic Willow pattern depicts a traditional Chinese scene that is widely recognized and includes a weeping willow tree, a pagoda, three figures on a bridge, a figure on a boat, and two flying birds. This bowl was made between 1921 and 1941 when it was marked “Japan.” The mark on the bottom is very faint now. I have chosen the best one, from a collection of four, with no chips or cracks. Size: 10.75″w x 8.25″d x 2.37″h. Please follow me on Chairish as I have flash sales for my followers only.
