Maitland-Smith Vintage Brass Double Wine Cooler

One of a kind, custom, Maitland-Smith, Mid-Century white brass double bucket wine cooler. This wonderful piece, possibly made to order in the 70’s, will delight any wine enthusiast, as well as any demanding house host. The item shows 4 delightful cherubs pulling and pushing two hinged wine barrels on wheels. The wine barrels are decorated with carved grapevines, clusters of grapes and leaves all around. The intricately detailed craftsmanship is unsurpassed and made to impress. Each single grapevine, grape cluster and leaf is individually soldered and connected to each other. Each barrel stands on two rotating wheels with elaborate pinecones. The entire assembly moves on its four wheels. This is possibly the only Maitland-Smith wine cooler of this kind ever made. Extensive research has not provided any other like this in existence.
The item has a silver look that will not tarnish. It can be polished if a shiny luster is desired or left with the warm silvery patina the object has acquired through time. This item is solid brass and very heavy.
